North Highlands Nordic (NHN) is located in the village of Cape North, which is on the north east corner of the famous Cabot Trail, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.

There is a 14 kilometer (ten mile) trail network open to the public, an indoor facility housing a warming/waxing area, as well as indoor washrooms and an eating area with a microwave, kettle and drinking water.

With cross country skiing from December to April as well as snow from November till May in the surrounding area, the Cape North area is truly a must see winter skiing destination.

Snowshoeing is also encouraged and there are ski and snowshoe rentals available... also a "pulk" (child's sled) to tow your young child along.   Plan to spend a whole day at NHN and enjoy the great outdoors.

The ski club operates these trails, however, all are welcome to come and enjoy!!
